I don't think it's you or the way you say you are Jandy. You and I might be very different but I bet we could be wonderful friends. I'm kinda the opposite with makeup and I don't have a lot of fancy clothes but I like clothes and shoes and what my husband calls girly things. I can't put my finger on why I don't do so well with some girls either but I have the same problems with some guys.

I don't really have any idea what I'm talking about but sometimes I think maybe with guys, even though some can be buttheads, they are who they are and what you see is what you get and I love them for that :). I have lots of girl friends but the ones who are real friends and who I love most are also, maybe not exactly what you see is what you get, but they are real and easier for me to understand :D.

I'm not always happy with myself but I love who I am. If I want to dress like a Disney Princess I can but I like to help my Daddy or husband sand drywall or get all hot and stinky working in our yard or on their cars or going for a run or drag bags of mulch around. I grew up playing with my Barbie dolls but I also knew every tool in Daddy's garage and what it was for and where it belonged and I kept him organized when he was taking his car apart and spreading it all over the garage floor :).

I can cry and act like a baby if someone hurts me but if someone pisses me off I can look them in the face and as well or maybe better than most and tell them "Have a Magical Day" and mean it and then walk away and feel like I did the right thing :D.

You sound like me! Was all about Barbie when I was little. Didn't mind hanging out with dad in the garage either. I was his go-getter as in "go get a 3/8 socket" while he was under the cats. Probably the only kindergartener who knew fractions :D

Afternoon Ladies and Gents! See I used the same font size - progress!! :)
I just got to work because my job is making me sick!

One, I took this job as a part time fun money kinda gig in 2011.
It quickly became full-time and they indicated possible permanent status (it's a govt job).
I am a hard worker, no drama, etc. I mean I lasted 25 years in the service ya know?
My gut was what the heck? Bank some $ for my snowmobile adventures & house repairs.
The person who was/is my Boss, is somewhat shady and lazy.
Now the Director of our Dept retired. New Director comes in and notices my boss's work habits.
He notices how I am here at work, ya know working, and my boss is not.
There is also some very complicated health issues with my Boss (not life threatening, mostly life choices).
    Sooooo...
needless to say, on Oct. 2014 I get converted to perm. Jan 2015, my boss checks out on some kind of FMLA from a Dr. note.
It is coincidental that this all happens after the new Director implements some changes to corral in my boss on time keeping and work responsibility.
    I know, I know, D-R-A-M-A.
    Two, I hate DRAMA. :crapstorm:

So since Jan 2015 I have been working by myself doing both my job and the lazy boss job.
Lazy Boss charges new Director with harassment. :argue:
Won't quit, the HR won't or can't fire due to Dr. notes.
You seriously cannot make this crap up. I stayed mainly because I wanted to become debt free to loosen the golden handcuffs.
No longer am I thinking I can make it 5 years to get vested. (my temp time doesn't count).
The good news is as of 6/30/16, I became debt free. I want to hang on until Dec 15 (riding season starts). That way I can bank more cash.
Even the Director doesn't like working here but is trying to help 3 kids in college. He is a cool guy, a very competent and hard worker. I like working for him.
He wants to replace the Lazy boss but all the alleged charges and FMLA dr. notes prevents that.
He knows I am sick and tired and stressed from doing both jobs and treats me really well.
No one else has been trained in what I do though I have designed run books and keep great documentation so if anything ever happened they won't be SOL.
That is how I was raised was to do a good job.
OK, I have vented enough........ whewwww
    :goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy:

    I need a hug :help:

Thank you Steve, as far as service, Thank you for your service!
Every one can make a difference, it takes a team, we all do our part. :oldglory:

    Thanks Scott
Yeah I don't usually let it bother me. The Director appreciates my work and even wrote my FIRST performance appraisal this year.
Lazy Boss never wrote anything since 2011

    Hi Judy :),

( @Simon's Mom ). Sorry for all the issues at work. It sounds like the kinds of big company politics that all my friends talk about and seem to happen everywhere. I've never worked directly for the Government but all my customers are DoD :). Anyway, I hope everything works out and hugs do make a difference :). @Tractorman and @Lord Helmet and @scottalot are all good at TW hugs :D.

Ah thank you. :) I don't usually complain, really try to stay positive. I certainly have loved not having negative nancy energy around so maybe that is the positive.
I do not like big company politics, that is why my DoD progression wasn't as fast or far as my peers. I don't necessary kiss butt or brown nose well.
I also love having a good time and being happy and TW is full of happiness FOH for me :humble:

I already do like you Weesa, you stick up to the boys :D.

I'm still an expert go-getter . I specialize in go and get garage, garden, and house project tools and supplies and stuff and I'm really good at completing my missions when I'm sent to Home Depot, Lowes, and Southern States .

That's awesome!! I wish I could be 'comfortable' with 'girly girl' things. I tend to be modest....I feel average & ordinary, I'm not an attention getter, don't like to wear tight clothes to show things (my husband wishes I did). LOL I dunno..... I've been told I have a confidence problem in terms of 'accepting' that I'm actually GOOD (or look good) at something. It takes forever to convince myself. Two years ago I took a totally new job (from machinery to accounting) and it took a full year to feel (convince myself) that "Hey, I can do this!". But...my theory on that is.....I probably have more 'drive' to convince myself to learn new things.

I was an oddball in school and always got picked on and my grades were never good enough. :(

When I'm pissed - I cry. I HATE that about myself. People think I'm upset....when I'd rather punch a wall!! I played with matchbox cars when I was a kid!! LOL The neighbor boys were my friends. We rode around on BMX bikes, caught frogs in the local creek, played Atari, baseball, etc. OMG.....I'm old!! LOL
