None that I know of, not a whole lot of Ms members on here, we have @Joe D up north, a member in the Laurel area, and Myself and @Taco Nation down here on the coast.

    Checking in from Oxford, Mississippi.

I don't know of any ladies in MS on TW & only a few other members who 95 Taco didn't already mention.

Welcome to Mississippi, I hope you find it to be one of the best kept secretes too.

Thanks! It's quite a big move and I have really never spent time there before but I am hoping it will be a fun time. I like hiking, are there any good areas with some elevation?

Not really much elevation change in MS. Highest point in the state is in the north east corner and its < 1,000 feet msl. And the delta is really flat.

Are you moving with family/friends, military or???

Moving alone can be difficult as you as you may already know..done it a few times.

Having lived elsewhere I will say these are the friendliest people I've met. Combined with the really low coast of living, mild winters, no traffic & a decent job I'm happy.

I'm sure if you look around you'll find the state offers something of interest.

And you're not far from NOLA which I enjoy on a weekend (I'm seemingly a minority).

Around my area there's off road & bike trails, some great disc golf and for a small town other good activities but, it's not convenient for you.

I'm looking forward to exploring it. I've been to southern Louisiana a bunch for my last job but NOLA only once. Loved all the bayous south and west of there. Hoping southern MS will have a similar feel.

I see you've found the regional section for Mississippi.

I seem to remember a group that did a trail recently from somewhere around Jackson to all they way up by my place with very little public roads. I'll try and find it and link it here in the next few day...I think they said they were going to repeat it sometime....
