But the ban is only on homosexuals, therefore it is discrimination. No guys will be kicked out for openly talking about their wife or girlfriend, right? (and vice versa for women)

The uniform analogy doesn't work because everyone is forced to wear one. Only gay people serving are forced to be silent about their lifestyle. I don't see how this is that hard to understand.
