if you have this connected and you take it to the dealer with it connected, you are a damn fool! remove and reinstall. leave no trace such as a velcro mount even.

there is no leftover sign of it being used. the truck doesn't even know it's there if you install correctly.

    Hi Guys,

Ive tested and installed multiple SB units on a few Toyota's and other makes.

Sprint booster does not void the vehicle mfg warranty. So feel free to visit your dealer with the unit installed. Ask the guys at SB and they will tell you same. Its not an increase in power nor does it modify the car in any way that can't be undone in about 1 minute (just unplug). Its not a new ECU nor does it require special programming. There is a 3yr gaurantee as well. Dont worry. Just make sure you set your valet mode feature before taking your baby in for service...no joy riding!!

Yes, if you set the controller to lets say Sport level 7 then unplug the controller...the booster thats plugged into your pedal assembly will stay in Sport7 forever or until uninstalled. Same scenario for pedal lock...great security if storing your car etc.

If you forget your 3 digit code to unlock the "pedal lock" security feature...read your SB manual before unplugging it. The unit has "lock out" technology built in in the event you forget your code..if you dont mind waiting. Ive forgotten my code too lol. Just use same code every day. My wife and I use our pedal locks every day...good luck stealing it!! Awesome. Always use the same code.

SB is safe. It sold around the globe for 10+ years with zero catastrophic events reported.

Yes, it may be a little scary if you install the sprint booster and your engine light comes on etc. If this happens its for 1 of 2 reasons nor is it a big deal at all. Either you got a unit not made for that specific vehicle model/trim or you didn't wait for the "Cam Bus" system to turn off AKA leave the driver door cracked open for 5-10 min until interior lights shut off...then proceed to install. Dont worry about disconnecting the battery. If issue arises just unplugg the booster, wait 10 min, then plug car back in without it installed and you are good to go. *The booster either works without fail after install or it wont...but it will never work one day then the next day not work. You either need the right booster model to go with your car or you didnt install it correctly.

It requires zero maintenance, no battery's, and it stays in last setting even after engine off...user friendly.

The sprint booster makes both of my Toyota's drive so much better!! Get the version3 booster asap!!

Better to just go ahead and get the real deal, sprint booster is more gimmick than anything. OV tune is the way to go.

I wouldn't say it's a gimmick. In my throttle-by-cable '97 Civic, I typically never need to floor the gas pedal, with its linear response I can red-line about half way through the pedal stroke. The SB just mimics that. Sounds good to me. My Taco's factory throttle response is awful. I'm there.

it's not a gimmick. it adjusts the throttle output as designed. that can be mighty helpful for an untuned 3rd gen MT Tacoma.
