Did you install the relocation plates? I'm glad I did on the 3/4" setting now that I got my 32's on ... Flexing out in Josh's yard with the skid steer proved that I made the correct choice.

I didn’t end up using it... it would have been nice but I really didn’t feel like drilling the bumpstops. I’m just going to remove the front screws holding the flare on and then just deal with the tire rubbing the plastic.

Just don’t use reverse when flexed out!

ehh I'm not concerned. I've already been wheeling it hard as is.

Got a little bit of work done today. Swapped out the stock front bumpstops for the DuroBump ones to match the rears. I also went through and rechecked my LCA bolts because I've been getting a clunk when reversing and turning. Sure enough they were kind of loose, but it didn't fix the clunk... I'm thinking it has to be the steering rack bushings or the old LCA bushings themselves... I reallllyyyy need to replace both of those sometime soon.

Another thing I recently noticed is just how much of a gap I have around the tailgate... it got me nervous so I ordered some Rago Fab bed stiffeners. This damn RTT making me rebuild my truck

Took the truck on a fun trip this past weekend with a couple friends out to Flaming Gorge. It was super rad. Managed to find some really awesome dispersed camping spots in the area. This was definitely a highlight of the main purpose I built/am building my truck for. Hit tracks fast-ish to get to rad camp spots.

Here's a view from the first camp spot on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Flaming Gorge area in Utah.

On the second day we drove around to some sight-seeing areas before heading to the second spot.

The second camp spot was right on the water. This was the goal of the trip. Camp on the water, float around, do some fishing, and then chill by the fire. It was perfect.

On the third day, we headed down to check out Dinosaur Monument which ended having a pretty rad trail out to Echo Park Campground which was the last camp spot for the trip.

I was at Dino NM Echo Campground two weekends ago. I wish I had time to explore the area more.
Headed to Boise tonight and the next week will be northern Idaho.

That looks like an outstanding trip! Flaming Gorge and DNM are very cool areas that I really need to get back out to.

Awesome! Looks like a good time! I was just at Flaming Gorge last week, stayed right on the beach on one of the peninsulas that jut out into the reservoir just south of the border.IMG_20190624_172458.jpg

Yeah definitely! The thing that drew me there was just all the trails that led up to the water with dispersed camping on the MVUM. Super rad area.

Hell yeah! I wish we found a spot that more beach-ish. The area we were on the water was super muddy...

Went on a quick weekend trip out to New Mexico this weekend with my buddy and his newly acquired GX470. Unfortunately there wasn't a ton of wheeling... I'll get him to beat the shit out of his Lexus soon...

Got some work done this weekend. Changed the oil and rotated the tires.

Also started trying to figure out my deep cycle battery setup and did some SKETCHY wiring... Don't worry, this is just for testing. I'm gonna clean it up/de-sketchify it a little bit for Grid Life next weekend. Then I'm going to start on the actual dual battery load out and power distribution system with non-sketchy wiring in the following weeks.

Also got some rainbow lights for the Grid Life camp. Gonna be LIT.

And to top it off, I picked up a portable 100W solar panel. This is also kinda temporary because I'd like to permanently mount a panel on the truck but I have no idea how I really want to do that as of right now...

While packing for Grid Life, I decided to do some experimenting.

I removed the rear seat to see what kind of room that gave me...

    A lot, in fact...

I think with a platform built to make a completely flat surface, and a slide for the fridge, this will actually end up perfect.

The fridge would go on the other side, turned 180 degrees, though for the final set up.

I sure love making vehicles less practical.

Also in unrelated-to-the-truck news, I rented a big boy lens for this event. Super stoked to try actual good panning shots of race/drift cars.

I had to test it out on my neglected car...

Had a lot of fun out at Grid Life this weekend down at Pike's Peak International Raceway. It was a great test run for the additional electrical system. The solar panel and battery performed great. Powered the fridge, our dumb camp lights, and kept everything charged flawlessly. Now it's time to get a more permanent solution built. It also gave me a few ideas for some future upgrades.

Here's a crappy photo of the camp spot at night. The shelter is missing the canvas because the wind nearly blew it away. I really need to figure out a better shelter solution than this stupid walmart pop up one. It's too big and annoying to haul around.

And the real fun of the event. Shooting all the Motorsports going on. Here's a few pics I got. There are many more but I'm not sure when I'll get around to going through all of them...

This was my first time shooting anything like this and holy crap is it fun. The unfortunate thing is it's making me want to upgrade my camera stuff... but that's so much money :(

Took a quick weekend trip up to Pole Hill (thanks @jubei, saw you post about it and went to check it out). Turned out pretty rad. Trail was easy but tough enough to dissuade people. We had the section of mountain we were on all to ourselves, with a fire pit overlooking Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Installed the Rago Fab bed stiffeners today. Disregard all the shit that has been under my bed liner for who knows how long... I'm planning to do a spray in liner at some point but I want to setup some L Track along the length of the bed to give more tie down locations and such. But, with the bed stiffeners in, the panel gaps are much better than they were.

I would like to either cut these bolts down a bit, or just get shorter ones as the thread protrusion is unnecessarily long.

I did run into one issue installing them. The bottom bolt hole interferes with this bed side support bracket thing. I did a quick fix and just cut the portion that was interfereing, and bent it out of the way. It's not my favorite solution so I'll probably come back and make it better in the future.

Might be taking a break from working on the truck for a bit to work on my other neglected love...

This could be considered a mod to the truck... it's a daily mod. I wanna start dailying my E30 so I can keep the miles off the Taco. Currently doing a full tune up/maintenance refresh on this old girl and I'm going to reinstall the AC and power steering that I so stupidly removed when I was a dumb kid...

This car has been neglected for far too long...
