Small update but after 2 years, I finally decided to fix my broken side marker light. It took so long because I'm lazy, but also because I did the turn signal relocation there and I've always hated it so I didn't want to do it again...

Also my passenger side one was fucked as well...

I replaced both side marker housings with ones I bought from Rockauto probably 3 or 4 years ago. Unfortunately now they make my headlights look gross. Guess it's time to do a projector retrofit...

My current solution for the turn signals is this Trail Gear LED turn signal kit. It should work for the time being until I finally decided to do a new bumper with integrated turn signals.

Went on an impromptu Moab trip last weekend. It feels great to start the season so early. I'm stoked.

It was definitely cold, mid-40's highs and 19 lows. The great news is that the swag killed it. I did have 3 blankets on top of my sleeping bag but I was super comfortable camping in the cold.

Well this is annoying. Finally got the Tuff Stuff awning wall after waiting 4 months or so for it. Only to find out it doesn't fit in the Rhino Rack rail... this is as far as I could get it on.

And then I found out it's not even the correct size

So I'm pretty much an idiot and now I need to spend the money on the Rhino Rack one.

In other news, I finally ponied up and bought a new lens for my camera. I've been tired of just having the 50mm so I'm pretty excited for this.

Currently I'm patiently waiting for good camping weather... but I did finally solve my awning extension issue. Ended up just buying the expensive rhino rack shit to make it work right. But now I'm good for rain camping. Unfortunately the swag isn't super waterproof so I needed this awning extension to stuff the swag under for rainy situations.

Do you just need to seam seal the SWAG? A lot of "waterproof" tents and tarps don't come sealed where they sew pieces together and water weeps in through the thread or overlapping materials.

Quick little day trip this past weekend. Nothing exciting. But we did experience heavy rain during the night. Glad I got the new awning setup to test. It worked well, I need to get better at setting up the awning for better drainage but it kept the swag dry.

Also my buddy finally got rid of his shittybilt and decided to step up his #overland game

bolted more dumb shit to my roof this weekend. This is really driving my need to re-wire all the secondary electrical stuff so it's easier to add on to in the future.

Looks like a fantastic area up there, I guess I need to explore more of Glenwood.

Best part is there's hardly anyone up there. We went up on the 4th holiday weekend and it felt almost deserted.

Haven't updated this in a minute. Been on a few trips but work really got in the way this year which sucked.

Went to Gridlife in July to camp and watch race cars.

Then in August I decided to check out Lake McConaughy. It's a bit of a shit show and we got nailed by a random thunderstorm in the middle of the night but it was cool to hang on a beach in the middle of nowhere.

In other news, this has been my main focus lately... I've been tired of not driving it. So now it's been on jackstands in the garage for the past month :anonymous:

Well, nothing new for the Tacoma. But I finally got this shit box out of the garage and it's been so nice to not drive the truck daily. Modifying the truck is going to take a big back seat now that this is out of the garage. But that's not a bad thing, the taco does everything I need it to reasonably so I don't feel a need to mess with it. Although, after the disaster this year was, I'm going to get out way more next year. Lots of stuff I want to hit in southern Utah, and I had a friend recently move to Arizona which I've been eager to explore. So the truck isn't out of the picture but the E30 has taken a back seat for the past 5 years, it's time for it to shine again. Also... gas prices are making it much nicer to drive versus the truck lol...
