Due to the timing of how I did things, I wasn't able to swap my tpms sensors to my new wheels. I gave my old wheels and tires to my Dad to use on his 2nd gen, mine is a 3rd gen. I thought I'd be saving him some money by letting him have my tpms sensors. Though it seems the 3rd gen sensors are not compatible with 2nd gen trucks so it was for nothing. My thought now (and my lame question) is, how hard would it be to pull the tpms sensors and swap them around (pull his from his old wheels/tires) and pull mine from the wheels on his truck and then install on each without having a tire machine? I was thinking maybe I could press each tire sidewall down enough that I could remove the tpms sensor and install the new ones. Is it possible, worth it or should I just go pay the $300-$400 have have a shop do it?

    wayyy too much work/effort

    especially w/o a tire machine....

Breaking the bead(s) by hand and replacing/exchanging 8 sensors ? Nah

$3-400 ?? That sounds a bit steep to me..find another shop

Or.....get some sticky pads over the dash TPMS icons

Thanks, I'm planning to sell so I'd like to "fix" the light. I've drove it for a year without it bothering me too much. The $300-$400 is for new sensors at a tire shop, not swapping the old ones around.
