Killer! I always saw how weak they seemed to cut through the fog on other cars. This is my first time with them and they are the real deal.

I got a set of LEDs for mine also. So, they only get used in the fog or for offroad dust.

Old thread, but i recently installed lamin x fog light covers. I think it looks great and the install took me 3 mins, no joke.

I dont understand why some folks remove the bezel or the whole fog light! Haha! I removed the backing from the lamin x, then just touched the center of the lamin x to the center of the foglight. Then, used my thumb in circular motion from the center to apply the lamin x. Then just cut off the tabs, done.

Does not get any easier. No bubbles or cracks, looks good.

Edit: i did warm up my fog lights for about 10 mins before install.

    Looks good man
For my install i turned on the fog lights to warm them up while i cleaned the bulbs (with a baby wipe), then i just stuck them on. I used a trim tool to tuck the tabs and edges behind the bezel.

I like the splash of color they add to my grey truck

Nice! It depends when you do it. Just a bit of warmth really allows the material to flex and form to the domes.

    That's a good idea actually!

Thicker film theoretically traps more heat--no problem with overheating inside the housing?

This is a good route. Got a buddy who swears by this method--he uses stained glass paint.

Most people likely try to line up the edge first--but that sounds like a great method to apply the LaminX. I'll have to try that when I do mine next week!

Man, it was super easy. Came out perfect and took me like 3 minutes. I’ve had them for about a year now and they still look perfect. I did apply a layer of nano top coat on the lamin-x though.

Also, don’t forget to heat up your fogs a bit, made it so much easier!

I did the yellow too....easy to install and looks great on a white truck. My low beam headlight is a 5K HID.

I installed the yellow Lamin-X over the weekend. It was mostly for protection, as the fog lights on my previous vehicle took a beating in the winter months and both fog light housings ended up cracking. I wasn't sure how I'd like the yellow, but after seeing it on the vehicle, I really like it. I installed by taking the fog light trim off to have full access to the light. It took me longer to get the fog light trim off than it did to get the Lamin-X film installed.

Looks good, but more important question is, did you Lamin-x'ed those expensive LED headlights? Headlights tend to accumulate stone chips and in some cases "fog up" from the salt and grime they come in contact with.
