I have an 09 Tacoma TRD Sport, I recently switched back to OEM "Black Chrome" Headlight housings as opposed to aftermarket DEPO "BHLM" look-a-likes (could not get the passenger side to quit dogging/leaking after resealing multiple times).

Anyway, the OEM housings have some minor swirls on them nothing deep or that you can feel when running your finger over the lights, the swirls still show after using compound/polish/wax/Plast-X...etc.

I plan on having them professionally buffed by a detailer in my area, and I was going to have him install Lamin-X protection film over them afterwards, anyone know if this would help mask any light swirls (if there are any left after they're buffed/restored)? Thanks!
