I would never ever use lumber lquidators. My friend spent $12k on new floors and they ruined the house.they refused to fix or refund.wouldn't take her calls. Just last week she opened facebook page disputing her claim and posted it everywhere and they finally called her back.it took Internet bashing for them to talk to her about their shitty work.I know your installing it yourself but i wouldn't deal with a company that doesn't stand behind their product or work.

Yeah, that's why i do as much work as i can by myself.

I have no experience with their installers (which are usually sub-contracted out through your local shop and are not actual LL employees - at least this is my understanding of the way they work.) but i do have experience with their product.

And I love it. In fact, the ~40 people at my house the day after i finished the room ooh'd and ahh'd about the flooring. I bought 10% more than i needed (Min. recommended for 3/4" oak) And only had about a box of 'questionable' boards left (out of 16 boxes)when all was said and done. Only 6-10 boards that were not usable at all. Which is above average.

And i got mine on clearance for $2.69/sq.ft.

I'll upload some pics later tonight or tomorrow.

Would def. buy from them again.

I dated a girl who had blinds to go install blinds.the installers made swish cheese of her walls.it took over a year to have someone fix it.both blindstogo and the installer were pointing the finger at each other for the repairs.you are correct about subcontracted out. I used to install trane hvac units for home depot.the installer should fix the problem but if there is any issue the company should step in and do the right thing.

Use a jamb saw to cut your door jambs so you can slide the flooring under. DO NOT CUT AROUND THE JAMBS. It will look terrible. You can either rent a power jamb saw or just buy a hand jamb saw for < $20.

Make sure you buy some 1/4 round to cover the expansion gap. Nail the 1/4 round into the baseboard. DO NOT nail into the floor.

If you have any other questions please post. I have laid lots of flooring along with many others in here.

Yeah I used the pullsaw for the jambs. I've got some quarter round and the transitions to finish it off.

    NONE.....yet!

Try Sam's Club. I just checked online, as I had seen it before. They have ARMSTRONG laminate flooring in 7mm for about $1.49 square foot, or 12mm for about $2.05/sf. Not bad pricing. Especially on the 12mm.

This is darkest I saw on there: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod910575&navAction=push
