    ... ^^^ ... Ditto ... my thoughts too ... :D

Before, I stayed away from the gossip and/or rumors on L/A ... but my respect for him is completely gone now.

IMO ... his confessions are not contrite & sincere and are self-serving at best.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was done with road but wanted to dabble more with XC and Tri. If he does return in some capacity perhaps as a team owner/manager, he's still gonna have a ton of cred and would probably have little difficulty signing young talent. Sponsorships may be a bit more difficult, but probably not a bad gamble.
He just needs to go away for a while and try to be a good dad and deal with legal issues.

He did a XC race a few yrs ago in Leadville CO and shattered the record by 30mins. Pretty good for someone who doesnt race XC right after the tour all above 8000'.

    Ummm

    No.

Lance never won an MTB Leadville 100

    David Wiens always stomped Lance
and in 2008 Wiens set a course record.

Levi Leipheimer, in 2010, set a new course record about 42 minutes faster

EDIT: I screwed up. Lance did take 2009

Lance Armstrong raced the Leadville 100 twice. First year he took second place and the next year he won.

When Armstrong won he set the course record at the time. Levi won the next year and then set the course record.

I was there for both races and IMO Lances record was more impressive because he rode the majority of the race on a wet and colder track. Lance also flatted with about 5 miles left and rode the remainder on a flat tire.

The day levi won was absolute perfect weather and a bone dry track.

    Anybody watch tonight?

He was so committed to the lie that he played his own son for a chump. His own kid. Didn't have the courage to tell even him the truth until the world came crashing down. That's low, man.

This is why I've been such a Lance anti-fan for years now. I think most folks that don't follow cycling regularly only saw the (make-believe) good side of Lance, and viewed him as an American hero. Just beneath the veneer, though, lurked the real Lance. And unless you were paying close attention, you didn't see it. You only saw Livestrong, Lance smiling in a beer commercial, and Lance standing on the TdF podium. But now the rest of the world is seeing him for what he truly was, and still is, by his own admission.

Karma has never been so beautifully evident.

Every time I watch the movie Dodgeball, I get pissed off because I have to hear a blurb from Lance about how he didn't quit or some shit.

For what its worth, other cyclists have admitted they lied to their families and even their children over the doping issue.

Parents lie to their kids about their past.

    It happens.

Prior to his Tour De France career, Armstrong almost never racec in XC.

After announcing his comeback in 2008 he started racing alot of XC races in Colorado.

I am not sure about Levi but I am not aware of any regular XC racing on his part.

And yes, Levi was busted for doping early in his career but blamed it on an "oversight". However, as part of the Lance investigation and federal probe, Levi admitted under oath to doping basically his entire career.

I've seen him ride and I have ridden next to him. He is small yet generates an enormous amount of power and attacks mountains.

Of course, take that with a grain of salt.

This just show that Bob is just human, and not psychic or even a psychiatrist. He just hired Chris 4x4 for his mechanical abilities and he was right.
