Last night on my scanner there was a hit and run in Los Angeles on a street that borders LAPD jurisdiction and Torrance PD. Originally it was dispatched to Torrance.

The victim stayed at the scene and gave dispatch a vehicle desciption and driver description. The female victim was injured.

Just before officers arrived on scene the dispatch alerted field officers that the registered owner of the vehicle came back to an LAPD officer who lived a few blocks away. He matched the physical desciption given by the victim.

Right after that dispatch the LAPD field officers came on air and said they would "take the handle on this case".

    :notsure:

guess so. so basically a call went out, on the line of two jurisdictions, and one of the jurisdictions said "we'll handle the call." i see nothing wrong or thread worthy about that.

I support Leo's all the way but you have to admit that some LEO's are corrupt as shit and if the shoe fits wear it, Leo's carry firearms to protect themselves common knowledge, you are guilty till proven innocent and don't argue that one I know all about that, if I had to put a # on bad cops it would be 10% of leo's are corrupt pieces of poop the othe 90% turn their back to whats going on I've been in that field I've seen it with my own two eye's and no I am not bashing leo's just stating that 10% of them are crap that is all

The way I see it there are a lot of douches out there. Some of them just happen to become cops.

The OP is trying to make a point that one of their own(LAPD) was involved in a hit and run LAPD said they would take the call, that is a conflick of intrest because the LAPD cannot be in charge of that investigation because it's one of their own.

they cant cover it up, someone was injured. try as they may, it cant happen. therefore this thread is useless, and the only point is to bash LAPD/LEO's strictly based on speculation.
