x2, that's something guys twice your age have problems with and it's a pretty huge testament to character. Hope that I can keep with your example

 

I just picked up a Dell XPS 15 through AAFES online EPP program to work with my video & picture editing. I love the 1080 screen & I could not beat the 35& deal they were offering due to the upcoming generation upgrades (6 core processors etc).

Its replacing my DELL XPS M1210 that I bought 5 yrs ago which had no issues except a bad ac power cube. It still works great but cannot keep up with the demands of my video editing software.
Overall I have really good luck with Dell.

I used notebookreview and their forums alot of good info there as well.

 

I bought a dell laptop in 2006 never had a problem, bought a new dell in 2010, never a problem, daughter bought a dell last year too, never a problem, my wife just bought a dell for herdelf works great.

 

Macs arent only meant for editing. I almost never use mine for editing. Mostly just internet use nowadays. internet and videos. and some photo editing. It never fails. If i were you i would just shell out the money and get a mac. I have had mine for 4 years with no problems. Worth every penny.
