Large hex drive bolts (?) between cylinders in heads

    What is the purpose of these large hex drive bolts or whatever they are that are located in cylinder heads between each cylinder (so two in each head) ?

    They are plugs from the casting process.

    P.S There are no coolant passages in the heads them selves.

    Further research in needed on you part.

    There are indeed coolant passages in the head.
