So, it's a 1st gen. You have 3" suspension, so I suppose you can run 33"s. As far tire width, I can't tell as I don't know the stock rim's width.

Someone with 1st gen should be helping you soon.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Correct, it really depends on the width of your rims.. and maybe even an offset as well?

A 285/70 is 31.7 inch diameter and 285/75 is 32.8 inch diameter. As you can see, the 2nd number (rim width) makes a difference in the overall dimensions.

I'd recommend a thinner tire for better MPG and less chance of rubbing.

isnt the second number (75) a percentage of the height ? (distance from the rim to the end of the tread) and 285 the width?

I'd like to go with the 285/75 15
anyone know if they might rub a 98 with 3 inch lift on stock rims?
