Was wondering what is the largest tire that will fit 2007 regular cab 4x2 17" wheels?

I was looking into 265/70/17 Michelin LTX MS2 or Continental Crosscontact LX20

If get those I would probably need fender flares?

    Thanks!

265/70/17 or 265/75/16 will be the biggest stock without rubbing, you'll be fine.

No flares. If your a 6 lug 265/70/17 will fit just fine. Google search largest tire size tacomaworld. Plenty of threads on this. And welcome to TW.

Edit: 265/75/16 is the same diameter as 265/70/17 so that would be fine as well

I just installed 265/70/17 bfg at ko2's on my '11 trd sport and they fit perfect, no rubbing.

My trucks got a 3" leveling kit front and rear spacers. I'm planning on putting 35's in the front but I found out I will need 2" wheel spacers just so the tire will clear the control arm. I will also need to cut my front bumper a bit so it doesn't rub. I got the 35's in the rear already. I just need to find me 4x 2" wheel spacers for a good deal and I can proceed with my plans.

I run 265/70/16 Michelin LTX M/S 2's on my truck. I don't find a need for fender flares so far. However, I will let you know these tires DO throw gravel. Pebbles get stuck in the tread very, very often (every single time I drive over dirt/gravel). I still have my factory mud flaps and thus far have not seen any scratches on the truck body from rock hits. However, my N-Fab side steps do get hit. I can hear the gravel bounce off them occasionally - usually after hitting pavement and high speeds (which throws the gravel out of the tread).

Aside from that the LTX M/S 2's are excellent highway tires! Nice firm ride, they don't wander on the road like the original Dunlops did either.

I don't like the all terrain mud tires in the front. They make to much noise, im going to put pro comp at's on the front. It's good for what I want to do. Street noise is low and I still get enough traction when I'm Cruz in the trails.i found a pair on Craigs for 60$ with half the treads left. Going to hop on it this week before some one else does.

Man can you imagine that mid ride hight on 35's front and rear? To sick! Day dreaming, would 37's be a stretch?
