    Yes.
These happened over a month ago.
New Wheels and Tires (T4R wheels with 285/70/17) In this photo I still had about 350lbs of sand in the bed from a trip to Wisconsin.

I also removed the front swaybar. Replaced the front passenger's side CV, and put extended braided steel brake lines on the truck.

Added RockBlokz Oversized Tire mud flaps (these are awesome)

Plenty of clearance with the 285s
    [IMG]

While I was in Wisconsin I had the front body mounts chopped.

    Yes.
    New Antennas too...

Two Larsen 1/4 wave 2M whips, and a PCTel 70cm Phantom (since replaced with a Tram 1/4wave whip)

Yes, that's three 3/4" holes drilled through the roof... :)

Diamond SG-7700 is re-installed on the toolbox and connected to the new Icom IC-706 Mk.II G

    Yes.
One of the 2m and the 70cm antennas on the roof are hooked up to this MFJ Duplexer (sometimes called a diplexer... I prefer the term "Splitter/combiner")
[IMG] with the single output going down to the Kenwood TM-D700

The other 2m whip connects to my APRS transmitter. The black and red power wires, actually connect the dome lamp in my cab, with my bed lights. So if the dome lamp is on, so are the bed lamps. :)

    Yes.
never too soon to start asking questions. Please feel free to PM me any time with anything you would like to know or have explained. I honestly think the studying for the test part is only important to get your license. This hobby is best learned "on the job" especially with the help of an Elmer (think mentor)

Is that the GPS coordinates on your house? That's a clever address, but now everyone on the internet knows where you live!

fellow nerd...i mean ham operator here... just got a little tarheel II & Icom 706IIMG & selling off other toys per wife mandate - plan to install as soon as possible. Issues with parking in garage - will need to motorize it which will take a bit of creativity. Just saying hello & introducing myself otherwise.

I'll be downtown, without my truck, at the convention center.

But I could be convinced to meet you somewhere walking distance from the ConCen..... ;)
sent me a /msg here and I'll provide my number to coordinate via text. :)
