I've never done "White Mountain" and it is a 4wd trail only, from my understanding. Nothing to gnarly from what I hear, but has its challenges in some spots. Also, there is one spot called "Suicide Hill", I will likely not do, but other people can try it.

Anyways, that is one trail I'm thinking about FINNNNNNALY doing and is not on the list of trails, that I know of. @BLKTRUCK Oscar, this is one of them I'm thinking about and if people want to join, they can? I don't know if Tip Top and White Mountain are doable within a day? Tip Top Mountain, does not take all that long to do given that no stupid shi* happens, of course.

Anyways... I think my trail book is in my recovery gear box??? I'll know more by today, hopefully??? Skip to 2:17 for "Suicide Hill". Looks fun, but NOT for me as I don't have the setup to even go up anyways. I HIGHLY DOUBT, an open diff, no lockers is going to make it all the way up after watching and analyzing the video. Annnnnnways... skip to 2:17 for anyone that wants to see that part of White Mountain. Again, I've never been on this trail, so I don't know other than what I would be following with my trail navigator setup that I have.

Prepared. Yes. Organized as far as my rig goes. Yes. Organized as far as wheeling plans go. Not as often as you'd think. I do a few big runs each year with my group of misfits. Every other weekend I'm solo just checking stuff out local to me.

Last year I found this rad little trail by doing just that. After looking at the topo map I thought somethings might connect. I got in my rig and pointed it towards Route 6. After passing Boundary Peak I headed east on dirt. When you look at where you're going you quickly realize there's almost know way in hell that anything but a hiking trail goes over that section of the Whites.

I kept driving and connected a few lesser traveled roads. Then, before I knew it, I was on the ridge looking down over Dryer Nevada and saw 264 in the distance. If I could keep going I could get back to pavement. It all worked out and I got over the Whites via a lesser known trail system that was rad. Then it was as simple as taking 264 back to 6 and home. Total door to door on that trip was about 6 hours. Well over 20 miles of dirt was covered.

My point is, that for me at least, not having a plan is often way more fun then having one.

That is, more or less, what happened with me when I did "Reward Mine". I didn't initially plan on doing Swansea-Cerro Gordo, but wanted to do a trail or two on my way to Reward Mine and that happened to be one of them. There were some moments I was worried because I was alone and the trail got pretty gnarly in a couple spots, but MAN I had some FUN!!!

So yeah, I agree very much!!!:fistbump::mudding:

You are capable, prepared & organized.

You should be leading a group showing the newer guys how to become more capable, prepared & organized. But I know you and the IFS guys are doing a difficult trail the following weekend.

Matt, you are part of the family! You’re always welcomed.

Naw I ordered all new parts temporarily until my CBI high clearance comes in sometime in late November or December. I think I did a good job of patching it up until then.

20190504_115957.jpg For the record, here is me using these very ratchet straps to pull a fallen tree off the trail in front of me. I will trust them to hold a 10lb tank in place.

That's a rotten ass old log that weighs less than the air tank. The wee toddler could have pulled it out of the way! JK

I used one as a hoist to pull this valve bank from a motor grader. It weighs like 120 lbs. I couldn't get my truck close enough to use the crane because it was raining and I started sinking lol20190307_122702.jpg
