You SHOULD be able to TX from the IE? Even on lower sub +5W. When I was doing my solo run up at Swansea-Cerro Gordo I was able to hit Keller from the Inyo mountain range and it was not necessarily "line of sight" either.

I'll remember to put my Yaesu on Keller, okay.:fistbump::cheers:

Btw, I had to hit the repeater at max wattage though, which is 55W.

I can actually hit Huntington Beach RACES repeater from La Puente on 1W, but I was told it sounds "bacon sizzling" and needed to up the wattage, which, if I remember right, is 4W for the Baofeng??? HAHAHAHAHA, I forgot the specs on that thing???

Anyways, at 4-5W I was able to definitely go that far. As a matter of fact, I believe I can hit Keller from HB with my little 4-5W HT??? Almost certain with that? It's been a while with me though. Something to mess with this week and it should be pretty easy to setup.

MOST/All of my HAM gear is in storage just like everything else. I NEED a place of my own finally and WITH a garage!!!:frusty::boom::bananadead:

Can't speak for Jason @BandanaBerg Randy, but you weren't holding me back. Pace was just about right for me as well. I am not interested (read that wealthy enough) in bashing my truck up just for the sake of going fast. It was a really good group and pace last year in my opinion.
Will miss wheeling with you again. I "might" cruise up on my bike to say hi to ya'll on Saturday.

Whatever was that issue last year when we were airing back up heading back to camp? There was an issue you had on, the right-front, I believe? What was it?

Randy, I have a butane soldering iron I can let you take along if interested. Also have a small butane torch for using on the heat shrink.

I might not even need it. I was trying to help @Nicklovin about a week ago and thought I had my soldering iron "readily available" and it ended up being "packed away" because I thought I was moving out again... typical long story with me!!!

Brotha, I just need to finally find me a "cougar" and have her take care of me because in the end, I have pretty low standards when it comes to my truck needing parts!!! :anonymous::cookiemonster::spy::rasta::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

So Oscar @BLKTRUCK, I'm thinking about doing "Jacoby Canyon" (in my trail book) as well as "White Mountain" (NOT in my trail book, but made my own *.gpx file). Both trails are rated:
    - difficulty is about medium
    - 4wd only is what I have been gathering so far watching YT vids as well as reading about them
    - no lockers are really necessary, but will probably help if you do have them... I don't :goingcrazy::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
    - recommended to have skids/armor
    - time for Jacoby is roughly 1hr in length... I don't know, just going by what the book says
    - time for White Mountain roughly 3-4hrs in length... I don't know, just taking into consideration that it is definitely a longer trail route
    - stock height or modified
    - prefer +31in tires... is my best guess on the minimum you would want to have for tire size... HAHAHAHHA, mine are 31's :D:p:rofl::rofl::rofl::facepalm:
    - number or trucks... I'm guessing 8 would/should be max??? I have NO idea??? Maybe 10??? :notsure:

The only thing though, if anyone wants to tag along:
    - I'm strictly going off of my book and navigator setup and don't know the terrain area very well as well as the roads to get to/from (i.e. 18 and 38)
    - I've never been on ANY of these trails so I don't know what to expect and if someone was to tag along, I might need help navigating at times

Other than that, if I was to do both trails and people were to tag along, it is probably a 5-6hr day??? Could be an hour or two less for all I know???

So, there is really "no trail leader" in that sense, but I'm willing to be one if people were to tag along either way. Just know I do NOT drive very fast as others I've wheeled with last year know.:laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl: @Titus94 and @NotRed I appreciated for hanging back with my slowa$$. :turtleride: It made me feel "safer" for sure.:fistbump: Thanks to @dumontrider for letting me use his air pump because mine went into "thermal shutdown" because it couldn't handle 235/75/15 tires??? o_O:censored::frusty::facepalm::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Anyways, just throwing that out there if people want to go on a run, but other runs are "full".

Here's my *.gpx track and/or route to be taken for White Mountain starting at Fawnskin.
