Latest Serius Radio Renewal Price

I'm one of those guys that like it. I got it for 99 year.

 

rip off, I always call and threaten to leave. they usually give ma a better price but only lasts 6 months

 

3 of my cars came with a Sirius trial.

They are the most annoying company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with regarding renewals.

On numerous occasions I told them that I never listened to it when it was free so why would I want to spend $5 a month to still not listen to it.

They couldn't seem to grasp my logic.

Use your smartphone and stream internet radio. It doesn't use much data.

I have a 20GB per month plan shared over 3 phones and never come close to the limit.

 

Never, never ever give them your credit card number as that gives them the opportunity to bill you at the "regular rate at that time" when your low cost 6 month subscription ends. I signed up several times for the 6 month deal with my previous car and each time I had them send an invoice so I could pay by check. They'll say it's a $2.00 fee for paper invoice. Tell them no, forget the subscription, they'll drop the $2.00 fee.

 

My wife can't live without streaming her CNN, but in my vehicles I don't even turn it on.

 

Somewhere, someone's trying to figure out why their credit card keeps getting charged lol.

....or the poor guy doesn't even know it.

 

I got 6-months for $30 .. if i don't cancel before the end of 6-months then they start deducting the price of $19.99/month. I will cancel a couple days before the 6-month subscription then wait for them to send me another comparable offer. I like it but at the same time i can just sync my smart phone via bluetooth and play pandora radio for free

 

Tell them it sucks and the quality of the music sounds like crap you dont want it then they will offer you a really low price. If you like listening to the crappy quality that comes through the sirius radio. I tell them to choke on a big one.

 

Honestly mine has never turned off yet... over a year and counting still

 

But the sound quality is HORRIBLE.... horrible in my Hyundai, in my Toyota, and in my BMW, so it's not the radio. The sibilance is just intolerable. I would pay $6 a year just to have news, but that's about it.

 

forgot I had that option until I got the renewal notice. Can speak from experience the deal gets better and better until they give up

When I was younger I used to listen to 3+ hrs of terrestrial radio a day. Satellite radio had some appeal because, in the beginning, advertisements were almost nil. Nowadays, the programming is marginal in quality and its full of ads. Between podcasts and AmazonMusic, I can listen to whatever I want whenever I want at no additional cost.

I might be willing to pay $3 per month for Sirius if so long as it applied to all my cars, computers and devices.

 

The latest emails I've been getting are offering $25 for 6 months, so maybe not quite rock bottom. I still haven't renewed though - got way too much music on USB as well. Only thing I'm really interested in is MLB so possibly I will bite in the spring just for that.

 

I've had the 6 month trial on several new cars. also bought the 6month for $20-$30 dollars. If you forget they will bill you so you have to remember to cancel.
I take 5k or so trips up into Utah, wy, AZ every year and it comes in handy for a day or so. Then by the 2nd or 3rd day you can set your watch by when a given song plays. It's like old reel to reel tapes. Just not worth the money.

 

I let mine expire and I also got tired of losing it when I went under a tree on the highway....I keep getting notices of 6 months for 30 bucs...

 

I did a $30 (eval plan) for 6-months, just called to cancel, they extended it for another 6 for $25.

Work with their operators, you can get them drop from $109 to $99, mention pandora and they drop their pants.

**Edit: I don't use it much, but I do like to have it when I'm wheeling out far.

 

I had no plans to keep, but at 25-30 bucks for 6 months, I am willing to do that as its is way cheaper than increasing my data plan.
