Not really... I mean I'd guess around $40 west coast and around $100 east coast and Locations in between would fit between those prices. But that is purely a guess at this time. I just made up a jig to position the pieces exactly the same for welding them all up so that is a step in the right direction.
Completed racks will be on the floor and at the powder coater's soon!

 

Combined shipping is probably not the best route on these with the dimensions/weight, unless there was a pallet with a half a dozen racks piled on. Any more than 1 rack it has to go freight due to weight, or ship in individual boxes anyways, at which point you may as well just have it come to your houses.

 

That’s good enough for me. I know east coast shipping is tough with armor, sometimes the sale is nulled out by the shipping.

Man i want this. Any chance you can mount a 5th wheel under side? I plan on a rtt on the top and having the 5th wheel suspended upwards on the top.

 

Like are you asking if you can mount a spare wheel (5th wheel) or like a 5th wheel trailer hookup? If it’s mounting a spare wheel probably could make some type of mount or use the stock tire winch and mount it to the underside of the rack

 

Hard to explain.. basically a spare tire on the middle of the rack.. but the underside. My rtt would be on top. I actually never seen anyone doit yet.. maybe it’s something i have to fab up. I just dont have the skills or tools to do that lol

 

Yeah I’m tracking what you’re trying to do. I have seen it where someone took the stock spare tire winch out from under the truck and modified it to work under a bed rack. It wouldn’t be to difficult to Fab something up or walk a local metal shop through making something. Essentially you’re just trying to take a bed spare mount and flip it upside down and put it on the bed rack. A RTT shouldn’t be a problem to put over it since the tire is under the rack and tent is above it

 

@Project Recon and I talked about this a little bit. I was thinking about taking the little chain driven lowering system and mounting it to the underside of the rack. But then I ordered a HC rear so I haven’t thought about it more

 

That would actually be awesome lol im ordering a hc rear bumper too and maybe ill just have a 6th wheel mount there haha

 

Not to detract from this thread, but Brute Force Fab offers this as an option (spare tire mount on the bottom side of the cage using the stock chain mechanism) on their bed cage. They're also the only ones I've seen that make a cage that mounts to the actual bed instead of the bed rails which was the biggest draw for me to it...but this pricing and modular design has me quite interested as I've been on the fence of going bed cage or camper top for my taco...mine would be going to upstate NY, too.

 

What is the estimated shipping date for a powdercoated rack? Thanks

Eric kind of explained with these racks it doesn’t quite make sense to group ship them on a pallet, not like bumpers and stuff. If you did want to ship them to the same address we can do a group paint and install since I have a full paint shop we can borrow on a Saturday and Sunday
