Yes it was 1* cubic yard my apologies. The picture shows what I had. 1.08 tons was the measurement based on the difference between truck empty weight and then weighing the truck with dirt.

God no. It was wayyy over capacity. Riding on bumpstops in rear. The steering was very squirrely. No way I would have taken it over 35 to 40 mph. The materials yard I picked it up from is just a few miles from my house and is all side streets.

When they issue your lemon check, I'd pick up another load [of manure] for them to bring it to auction. :)

Drove the ACMT today, surprised at how much room is in the back. Nothing like the DC but more useable than older ext cabs I had been around.

I didn't measure but it's not a whole lot less distance from seat back to seat back than my 2006 Silverado.

Still up in the air as to DCSB or maybe ACLB. Definitely going MT though.

Sounds like you don't need a double cab. Save some money and get the Access Cab or just bite the bullet and get an DCLB Auto.

A long bed with bed extender is still more space then a shorter bed with the same extender :D:D

6 in one, half dozen in the other I suppose. Probably more room in the SB with extender than in the LB with gate shut.

I've hauled 1cu yard of soil in my pos 01 3.0 ranger over dozen times, yea it was on bump stops in the rear, but never had an issue even up the hills. I'm expecting taco to be twice as good, infact i need some top soil, i shall test my theory next week

1cu yard is well within tacos payload capacity, not too worried

I don't think so, the Tacoma's payload is 1,175 to 1,540 lbs, you can do it, but I wouldn't recommend it because its not well within the payload. Towing a trailer with that load = no problems

Yes true, despite what it says on the paper though, it shouldn't be an issue imo

your opinion is valid, but I wouldn't advise it.
