Just drove 120 miles. Go to back into a parking spot and hear a thunk. Front driver tire is cambered in. Crawl under the truck and the front ball joint bolt is missing, wtf. I just had a 15k service done and alignment last week at the dealership...Would they have touched the lower ball joint bolts during the alignment? Or during the 15k service? Lucky it happened where it did, but very frustrating and confused as to why the bolt came out.

Wasn't torqued properly. Did you happen to pull those two bolts when you did the lift?

Damn, the dealer probably won't warranty since it's got the lift done. They may say you tampered with the suspension to get the lift installed. But if the bolt heads don't show any evidence of it being tooled on, you might have a shot at them accepting as a factory issue. Wouldn't hurt to ask them.

Who ever did the lift could have screwed it up. If you have the tools lift the trip up, go to the dealer tomorrow and order (since they likely don't have it in stock) the lower hub to spindle bolts. 19mm heads, put it back in and retorque everything. I believe those are 95ft/lbs

Probably dropped the spindle from the UCA BJ or he changed the UCA's.

True true, I usually take those lbj bolts out and lower the Lca to do them, is why I'm saying.

During the 15k service could they have retorqued the LBJ bolts? Only thing I can think of right now.

A lot of newbies crossthread those back in during a lift install. If you didn't get the lift installed professionally you're going to be SOL.

You might be dishing out money for a new knuckle or a thread insert.

I crank on those fuckers, you pretty much can't over tighten them, this is mechanic error.
