There is no reason for them to touch it after they're torqued properly from the factory. Was there any damage to the vehicle at all? I would just order the bolt and call it a day. Check every suspension bolt after that.

I have a feeling the dealership might fight you on a warranty claim for this.

Nope, no damage. After pulling it onto the tow truck the LBJ is almost in line with the knuckle, just needs a bolt. Just got to the dealership. But service won't be open until the morning.

Good luck man. It might be a SOP item, unless another member locally or salvage yard has a spare. This is assuming they won't warranty it.

Op, just thought of this. Bring the appropriate wrench or socket/ ratchet (19mm? I forgot) with you in the AM in case they do have the bolt in stock. Put it on yourself if they deny it.
Take it home and retorque everything!

You might need a prybar and use of the bottle jack to move some stuff around and get it into position.

That was the plan, I'll have a torque wrench and socket with me in the am.

Ask if they have any leftovers from lift installs.

No it's not one time use. I'm thinking tundra though, we do a lot of 6" pro comp lifts and they come with new knuckles and lbj bolts. So the stockers get thrown in a box under my tool box. I have extra ones for a Tacoma but we don't do too many big lifts on those.

I would torque them to their spec. I wouldn't ever just "crank on those fuckers." They have a torque spec for a reason, you can over tighten any bolt.

Dealer can't get me the bolt until Tuesday. I'm 2.5 hours from home. I thought to call around to a couple auto parts stores and buy a new LBJ and just use the bolt. But all I can find is the actual ball joint. How would I find the part that connects the LCA/ball joint to the spindle? What's it called?

The ball joint doesn't come with the bolt...why not find a specialty hardware store and get a bolt just for now?..

Just spoke with the dealership about getting a bolt and trying to match it from a hardware store. He said they won't install a bolt unless it's OEM Toyota, and that I can't work on the truck unless I have it moved off their property.
