how do the stores not have them? Just order a new ball joint and you'll get the castle nut, then keep ball joint for a spare. Likely that size castle nut would be a special order anyway.

I went to every store and nope. Also I have the castle nuts from my napa ball joints and they do not fit.

Starting to think maybe the first threads are messed up

that's a bummer. maybe take the castle nuts from the napa ball joints and run them through a tap to see what size they are, then get a die set and chase the threads on the ball joint on your truck.

Ok I found out the Napa castle nut is the same as the jam but for the inner tie rod

M16x1.5mm which is what I think the oem LBJ is suppose to be. The threads look fine But I’m starting to think they aren’t fine at the first 1-2

Any resolution to this? I need to clean up some LBJ threads on a set of new-to-me LCAs. I was hoping to order a die, but totally forgot to measure last night

For anyone looking in the future: M16x1.50 is the LBJ stud thread size
