Has anyone replaced lower ball joints on a 2017 taco. Mine are leaking and occasionally hearing noises when I turn the steering wheel. Would u recommend to change the whole arm or just the ball joint?

The joint is not part of the lower control arm. Its on its own part that bolts to the arm. SO if the arm is fine, there is no reason to replace it.

That's a 2WD. All modern Tacomas have ball joints in the lower arm. Technically they are not serviceable. But you can press them out.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Me, too. Thought we were in for a fun history post. Thread's done, so I guess I'm off to Tara Ross page to get my history fix.

Derp, nevermind, toyota made it weird by having the ball joint bolt to a thick metal part that then bolts to the spindle. For what ever reason I thought the balljoint was on that metal part.
