LC 80 9.5" FF axle setup for Tacoma

Hi all,

I have a complete rear 9.5" 80 series full float elocker axle that is setup for leafs. All coil brackets have been cut off and leaf sprung perches welded on. It has 4.88 gears and a chilkat mechanical cable locker conversation: 9'5" E-Locker Cable Conversion Kit | chilkatdesigns -

I do NOT have the actuator any longer.

I ran this on my xtracab first gen tacoma for many years, probably has 20k miles on it since the 4:88 were installed at which time I did a full rebuild on it. The third member is offset on these unlike the stock axles which are centered. I had no issue with the driveshaft running at an angle. Ran this at 80mph with no vibrations or damage to Ujoints.

Great upgrade without breaking the bank. And you gain disc in the back. Width is about 1.5" wider on each side than stock. You will need relocate shock mounts as well.

DAMN! I'm building the same axle right now except with an ARB.

Its truly the best option for a heavy duty axle, without spending 10k for a currie or something like that. It has a locker, full float, discs with the strength of a one ton. I've held on to this for 2 years now hoping I would have something to put it in.

 

Couldn't tell in the photos, but do these axles have any abs sensors anywhere on them?

Just figured I'd need the 3rd member and axle shafts.

 

Coming up towards NorCal anytime soon? I have a samurai based buggy that this would be great under.
