Looking to see how people feel in the 2000-3000 rpm range with these before pulling the trigger. I think i've gotten it above 3500 a few times just for fun, but other then that it's not practical for me. Looking forward to some feedback. Some more juice up those highway hills would be nice instead of 4th gear.

I agree Jassco, I'm looking for more low end myself. Anything else is icing on the cake.

I have a LCE Header on my 98 2.7L - I added a K&N new Intake at the same time. There is a huge difference in power. Well worth the money spent.

I would suggest changing your muffler for something that flows better.

I have had several mufflers and they were too loud. I was told by many and the muffler shop to go with a Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler. It flows well and is not too loud.

I will be changing it soon.

I am sure your truck exhaust will be a touch louder even if you don't change the muffler.

Just an update, due to the fact that I am NOT rich....My decision to buy these LC headers are being put on hold at least for another month.:pout:

None YET! (It's only got 50 miles on it.)
Yes, I installed them in October 2010 and immediately headed for the Interstate. I drove from Nashville to the Northwest corner of Washington State. I could feel a subtle increase in power and my gas mileage increased 1.5 - 2.0 miles per gallon. The installation was easy. The kit came with S/S bolts and the Ceramic coating still looks good.
I have just purchased a 2011 Taco and will be selling my older truck that has those headers installed.

Hoping for this to come true next week. Got a line on one set up with another member going back to stock before trading in. All giddy with anticipation. The post above was made in March when I had the 05, glad it took until now so it'll end up on the 08 reg cab. Should be a more noticeable improvement having it on a reg cab with 30s instead of on an access cab with 32s on it.

Just purchased 2011 taco 2.7 4x4 access cab auto. needs more power in mountains. after getting educated on this site, think I will pull secondary air filter, put a AFE pro dry in primary filter, install LCE headers and a magna flow muffler 11255. Think that is the best bang for the buck package. Otherwise, love the truck.
