This is a problem that has been plaguing me since nearly the time I bought my Tacoma.

I've had my Tacoma stock, I've had a 3" lift and now a 6" lift and ever since I've had it lifted I've had alignment issues. I've taken it in and had it aligned 4 times and every time it comes back feeling great and then after about 150 to 200 miles the thing starts to feel loose. Driving down the same roads that it once felt fine driving down.
Not being saavy, I kept taking it in and having them (3 different shops) check for anything "off." Ball joints, tie rods etc. Nobody has found anything wrong to cause the issue. And then once again another alignment.
Then after it happened AGAIN, I shifted my focus to the control arm alignment adjustments. After the 3rd time, I had them mark the alignment so I could check for any movement. Once again it started feeling loose and I checked the alignment cams and they HAD NOT budget a millimeter. That's when I tried putting some more torque on the bolts and to my surprise there was some room to go. Tried test driving the truck and there was definitely a noticeable increase in the tightness of the steering.... But they keep on slightly loosening up. Not like "loose" but just not really tight like I had them. And the tightness seems to have everything to do with the feel of the steering and alignment.
I've never heard of nor encountered this issue before. I thought perhaps the bolts had slightly stretched... but this much?? Is it a bad nut that's slightly loosening? I've torqued those things down with all of my might and then they just keep slightly loosening.
I'd really prefer to avoid crawling under my truck every few days to check these things and retighten. Any ideas??

If you're running a DB lift, scrape/grind away the paint/powdercoat around the LCA bolt holes (both inside & outside of the crossmember pockets, as well as at the upper part of the crossmember that fits into the truck's OE pockets) so that everything is clamped metal-against-metal. That should alleviate an issue of bolts slipping/not staying tight.
(if you're in an area where rust is an issue, hit those areas with some rattle-can paint after you've fully tightened the bolts.)

Be sure you're actually torquing them to spec, too. Simply using "all your might" may not necessarily be reaching spec... Use a torque wrench. Most will have a handle that's longer than a typical wrench or ratchet so you can get more leverage on it.

    Spec:
135 ft-lbs for the front bolts,
139 ft-lbs for the rear bolts.
(this from the 3rd-gen FSM, I would think 2nd gen is the same)

No DB lift here. And I’ve torqued to spec. I guess I’ll just go a little tighter than spec?

    OP had a DB lift.

I'd suggest checking for foreign material under the bolt heads and inside the LCA pockets. Other possibilities: the LCA bushing sleeves are collapsing (due to rust or previous overtightening), the LCA pockets or bolts themselves are damaged. Beyond that I got nothing.
