That's a pretty safe bet. I ordered everything and returned what I didn't need (basically just the nuts and alignment washers). I think all my bolts were cut out along with both of those sleeve things.

If your ball joint needs replacing also, or will need replacing soon, it might be more cost effective to get the whole new LCA since it comes with the bushings already in place and a new BJ. You'd still need the bolts, washers and nuts though. It ends up being more money but a lot less time and a lot easier plus you have a core to mess with or sell off.

    Good luck!

Mike , did you find that this list was complete when it came time to do the work ?

EDIT: just saw your post above , thanks

I was going to compare the prices up here on the parts / labour vs replacing the LCA's / labour

That parts list did the trick for me and I just sent back the parts I was able to salvage. Besides grease, neverseize and cutting tools, I don't think there was anything else that I bought for the install. The torch method was rather effective when removing the bushings to burn out the rubber. I didn't have much luck with Boyd's method of cutting the center out (I'm also not a carpenter, you're probably better with a saw than I am).

    Thanks

I think I'm gonna find that buying the LCA's / labour is going to be cheaper but we'll see

Keep in mind you'll still need the replacement bolts if you just replace the bushings or swap the whole LCA. Those little parts were surprisingly expensive!

The markup in Canada still blows my mind. Unreal how much more expensive things are for you guys.

    Wow...

OZ, that's about double what I paid for the parts. Does Camelback Toyota ship to Canada? I would have been in that range if I had purchased everything through my local stealership. It was cheaper to buy through Camelback and have them ship the parts to me across the country.

Damn, that sucks! If you have some friends in the US, it might be worth having them buy it, repackage and ship to Canada. I just went through that, I bought a TRD shift knob on Ebay, didn't like it and someone from Canada asked if I'd sell it to him and ship across the boarder because the ebay seller wouldn't. Ended up saving him some money and didn't cause me to lose any. You wouldn't be able to return anything easily but you could end up saving quite a bit of money.

What about "ship happens" or one of the other similar mailbox services just across the border? Assuming you have a passport to cross, of course. The difference in toyota parts pricing in Canada vs US is infuriating, considering the exchange rates.

Another thought, maybe "toyopartsman" on TN will ship to Canada?

It would cost me a couple hundred to get to the border crossing

Looking into some other options now , thanks for the tip

I tackled this today - I had pass front cam weld to the bushing - I was able to get the cam bolt out before I had to cut so sawzall worked well and relatively quickly... $100 fix for bushing and cam... reused everything else and greased them all around... really straightforward with XXXX's DIY...
