    Hello,

Recently took my 3rd Gen 2016 TRD OR (140'000km) to Fountain Tire as I was started to get the wobbles and figured it was either out of alignment, balance or both.

I then received a call for a 4300 CAD quote for uppers, lowers and a new set of 265 75 16 cooper at3 4s tires as they stated that UCA and LCA are seized and tires are shot.

I understand that uppers and lowers are easy to replace and affordable but in regards to tires - my fronts have some uneven wear on both inside edges given my alignment and balance issues but have half tread depth rears are fine maybe 3/4 tread left.

Looking for advice on if I should do UCA and LCA and swap my fronts to my rears to get a little more life or do UCA and LCA and four new tires and hopefully do a better job at rotating along with balance and alignment.

Seized UCA is very rare.. that one single long bolt that fastens the UCA doesn't really seize and can be cut out without damage to the LCA or its bushings, so that sounds like a weird diagnosis.

Seized LCA cam hardware is super common and if they have to cut them out, the bushings are toast. OEM LCA's are about $370 CAD per side. Cam hardware is another couple hundred $.

Personally if 2/4 tires have no tread left, I'd buy 4 new tires but that's just me.

I'd get a 2nd opinion on the UCA & LCA. Especially if they are oem.

New tires & Alignment may be all you need.
