    Good morning all,

The ball joints in my LCAs need replacing soon and I’m trying to decide which route to go. I installed Moog oem style a few years ago but am considering some of the more built aftermarkets, I’d like to get something similar to the Dirt King but not looking to spend $1200 or more on these. The moog are about $200, is there anything better in the $4-600 price range?

truck is an 09 DCSB with camburg UCAs and Icon RR extended travel coilovers up front

I have this exact same question. Did you ever come up with anything?

Having been through this myself, I picked up some rebuilt Dirt Kings from a member here (IIRC I paid 750 or 800?)

Not for the faint of heart, but based on the photos I was sure the arms themselves were in fine shape and I was prepared to buy new uniballs and bushings if the rebuild was questionable.

Thankfully in my case they were great, but something to factor in if you go with used/rebuilt.

I never came up with anything, just went with another set of Moog.

I bought the OEM ball joints for a Land Cruiser from a Saudi Toyota dealer on ebay and pressed them into my OE LCAs.

Was kind of a pain but it's doable.

I have a set of Moog/Mevotech in storage.
A set of used that I repainted and will install ASAP, with new bushings and ball joints pressed in.

Short of that, the upgrade is fabricated/welded steel. I don't know if they come in geometry to mimic stock, or longer travel; likely the latter, or option to pick from either.
Which would be stronger, serviceable, and possibly better angles + more clearance

    also ~$1-2k+

OEM new is best. Unless you want to go LT.
