Sony, all the way! Don't know if that is a choice because there are no choices yet, but I watched the Rangers knock off the Yankees in crystal clear vision.

I'd go for a Sony from those choices, but I'm extremely happy with our 47" Vizio.

Never heard of Curtis, but usually you get what you pay for in a TV. Not to say they are horrible, but when seen side by side, there is a huge difference.

The 120hz refresh rate is worth the extra cost on the EX500, I know you like your sports and this is will help with any lagging or trailing for fast action.

The Samsung is a good option, but I looked at both for a while and Sony seemed to be a little more crisp, but the Sam also has the 120hz so this is a must.

Also look this time of year for deals, I got the same Sony with a PS3 slim for $1000. Bestbuy had the TV with Blu-Ray offer but I went on Sony's website and they had the PS3 60GB for $10 cheaper. Bestbuy matched and gave me the 120GB slim PS3. I would keep looking this time of year.

Yeah, they had pretty much the same deals every where else but a little better when I got mine, you can at least try and get someone to match it so you don't have to wait and or pay for shipping.

    Brutalguy ,

as you are a hockey fan , if you go with a Sony get at least the EX 500 for it's 120 hz refresh rate , but you would be better served with a 240 Hz model .

I just got a Sony HX701 , which is a 1080P 240 Hz CCFL model , that has the Bravia 3 Engine as well . This model is more readily available in Canada , but is possible to get in the states .

    NY Rangers suck . :p

    Specs are here : http://www.sonystyle.ca/webapp/wcs/...0803&langId=200&productId=8198552921666233381

I voted for the Samsung. We just bought a Samsung 46C630 and we are very satisfied. $900.00 is the going price. It is rated as a good value for Lcd TV's, as good or better picture as many Led Lcd TV's. Hope this helps.

i have a 46" sony bravia with 120hz and i honestly see NO difference when compared to 60hz,both shudder the same amount. 240hz looks a little better, but nothing to rave about. i kinda wish i would've got the 60hz and save a few bucks.
