I'm extremely happy with this header. Amazing quality. I've noticed a real increase in power in the higher RPM range.

That you sir! As far as the difference in sound, I think it compliments my Magnaflow exhaust. The sound is much deeper than before. Very happy with it.

I did get a slight increase in low end power, but from about 1800-3000 is where I noticed the difference. My goal was to make up for some the lost performance due to the heavier KM2 tires. I really wish I would have gotten the manual transmission, over the AT (Wife can't drive MT & refuses to learn). But hey, the bucket seats are nice looking. As far as why I picked LCE over DT, just personal preference. I liked the fact that LCE's research & testing is concetrated on Toyota. I'll be posting some videos soon.

I also had to decide between the two and I went with the Doug Thorleys and I really like them as well, I noticed a little more torque in lower rpms. 1700-2600 rpms..which is right where it needs to be for me..I think you'll win either way you go, Ive heard good things about both...I had Doug Thorleys on my Tundra and I loved them, so I knew I wouldnt be dissapointed.......and they were a little cheaper

this is a little off the topic but where did you find those upper control arms? i need some bad and with my lift i am in bad need for some to compensate for that. it looks like you have them.

I bought the Total Chaos UCA's from "Wheeler's Off Road" http://wheelersoffroad.com/

They're worth every penny. When I lifted the front 2.5", the front tires would "Float". As soon as I got the new UCA's installed and got a decent alignment done, the truck handled better than stock.

and all that you have on it is the link you sent me right? my truck is really stiff in the front because of the bind on the uca's. did it help with how stiff it was too or just the handling, which i need back too.

You have a 5" front lift. What kind of lift? Do you have any pictures of the front end? I would be very interested to see your CV angles. If you're running stock UCA's, I could see why the ride is so bad.

For my setup, (Adjustable 5100's up front with stock coils) I had the 5100's set at 2.5", so I knew it would be a gamble when it came to ride/handling. After the installation I had an alignment done (the first time) and couldn't not get the caster to spec. The truck was safe "enough" to drive, but I didn't feel it was worth the risk of burning the tread off my new KM2 tires. I ended up buying the new UCA's, had them installed, and got a 2nd alignment done. I noticed an immediate difference. No more "floating" type feel, Great alignment numbers, and a little bit more down-travel.

If you could provide more information about your lift, it would help.

well believe it or not i only had the 5100 levelling kit, was supposed to be for 2.5 inches, and i had it put on by the only off road shop near me. when i came to pick my truck up they had it looking like it was popping a wheelie, and my levelling kit ended up being almost right at a 5 inch lift in the front. they had the parts around to put 3 inches on the rear and it was cheaper than re adjusting the front shocks because of the coils. so the cab of my truck lifted by 4 inches in the end. how it worked that way i have no clue, i have wondered from the beginning if i have a wrong part or something but dont have the money to keep trying new things. i can try to upload some pictures of my uca's. its kinda crazy tho and its been on for over a year and so far so good. so now i plan on fixing some of the issues that the lift caused, so i am putting a differential drop on and going to get new uca's.

He says 1800 to 3000 rpm, but that IS low end. Not high end. Problem solved.

Wow. Yeah, when you have the time, take a few pictures of your lift. I just want to see if they "stacked" your lift. Adding new UCA's and dropping the differential will really help.
