Like the title says, I need to get my Leaf springs and bushings cleaned and greased. Anyone know what the ballpark cost of getting this done should run me? (I have nearly zero mechanical skills and no tools to do this myself)

    Thanks!
    Ax

The job is worth... $0. Because there is no need to do it. I'll do it for 1k though.

I'm assuming since you're from VT they need cleaned of rust. Call your local undercoating company and see what they'll charge.

I don't think they are too rusty, just the squeaking is driving me nuts =)

Yeah, I saw the DIY thread. But as I stated in my first post, I am not mechanically inclined and lack the tools to do it with even if I could do it. =)

Okay. The kit (which was in one of the posts at the end of the DIY thread BTW) is going to cost about $25 to $35. I would guess 1 to 2 hours of labor. So the cost is probably about $200 at the dealer. You could probably order the kit yourself, and pay any garage you trust to do it for about $100. Make a few calls and they should be able to give you an estimate.

Whatever you do. Don't Fluid Film them thinking that will stop it. I've Fluid Filmed my Deaver's twice and both times it made them squeak like crazy until they were washed off by rain or the pressure washer. Sounds crazy, I know but it's the truth. The funny thing it my Deaver's never squeaked at all. I just doused them with Fluid Film while I was underneath there doing the frame thinking it couldn't hurt since they are covered with surface rust. I did it the second time just to make sure it was the Fluid Film causing the squeaking.
