Anyone have experience with repairing individual leafs?

    Recommended or not?

Are individual leafs available out there for repair of stock Tacoma setup?

    Thanks

Dealing with a drivers side broken leaf in the pack currently..... sounds like hell driving down the road. On a bit of a budget hence the DIY assignment here.

    I got a 2011 2.7L 4x4 access cab.
No Toyota recall on the springs, and they didn't find rust holes in my frame :annoyed:

Also, I do have a leer topper 100xr on it...

    PICS TO COME GUYS.******

With a tight budget look for 3rd gen take offs. Typically around $100 or less. You are supposed to replace leaf springs at the same time and it isn't recommended to replace individual leafs.

If one is broken, the rest are weak.

The amount of time and effort to dissect a leaf pack and replace one, you may as well buy a new unit.

Check local listings for rear leaf springs for tacoma. Any 2005-2020 will fit, as long as its 4x4 or prerunner.

Yes I figured that would be the case. Especially having the topper pretty much all its life and just running stock shocks on it..

Do you know if doing an AAL would preserve them longer? Or at least help out.

I'm hoping to get my frame reassessed this summer. Looking for a quick patch job now.

I have been on the search for some used ones. Seems difficult in Canada to get a hold of such parts!
