So I measured my current OEM leaf and then one of the ones I purchased from Atlas. The Atlas leafs are 5 inches shorter in length than my OEM ones. I have emailed Atlas with these photos simply asking for advice and have not heard from them yet. Sorry for the delay, been very busy with work. Also sorry if the photos uploaded wonky, I'm still figuring this out.

I may be wrong, but that doesn't look like a stock leaf hanger.

Edit - Definitely not the stock hanger. Are you SURE those are OEM springs on there?

My truck is in the shop so I can't measure the stock eye-to-eye distance.

Okay, I see you mentioned that initially. I'm going to assume those are supposed to preserve the proper distance for OEM springs, and not be for some other type of setup then.

So eye to eye they are shorter which may be attributed to flexing of the leafs on the truck. To take the arch out you have to measure the leaf itself from eye to eye following the arch.

That said you might need to compress the spring on install by jacking up the axle. Idk. Weird situation.

EDIT: So my Deavers measure 55” mounted on the truck eye to eye and only have maybe 1-2” of arch in them at the axle. Those Atlas springs look like they have a foot of arch which may be why it’s coming short.

You can't measure eye to eye with one spring off the truck and one spring with the weight of the truck sitting on it and flattening out the arch. Of corse the spring with weight on it is going to be longer. You need to measure along the arch of the spring to get and accurate idea of length.

Just going to say thank you. Installing the rxt pack now and ran into the same issue. Lots of comments and threads about this, but this was the most helpful by far.

I just switched mine to option two and WHAT THE HELL is with the upside down clip. Was nearly impossible to get it back on and get the bolt through after the swap!

still got it all done in about two hours

Hooray! There was a point in our troubleshooting before we figured out the seesaw approach where the entire rear end of the truck was just on the floor being held by the floor jack pad…it was….harrowing…

    Glad our struggles helped. :)
