Leaf spring recall

In all honesty the recall was a bandaid at best, pull the pack with quality aftermarket ones and enjoy an improved ride.

 

I see now, so they don't replace at all? Lol
Basically some neosporin and a bandaid?? Lol

"We make it easy on you" ? One their slogans hahah

I actually got a letter in the mail
But read that they started sending out recall letters in May

 

They do replace the whole pack I believe the problem though is the whole thing sucks and can't really be fixed. The design is flawed at the core and to fix it is more than a larger leaf pack.

The leaf spring recall is a joke. That recall was sent like a year ago. My cousin is still waiting for his fix.

 

Just got my notice today...think I will keep my Alcans though.

I'm going to DCH Toyota in Torrance tomorrow to get the new leafs installed. After bitching at them for over 2 years about the horrible sounds they finally got back to me.

Brought mine in last Saturday after waiting 2 weeks for them to come in. After 5 hours of them having the truck they realized its a regular cab and I guess the leaf springs are different... So I am back to waiting. But they gave me a free rental for the day so i'm not too bummed

Well at least u got called in after 2 weeks lol

 

Try spraying white lithium grease on them. It helped a little but the squeak always came back. Also contact the Toyota headquarters and let them know how frustrated you are. I think that really helped for me cause after bitching to HQ I got a call from the DCH head service manager and he said he is going to take care of it.

 

Interesting, I will call a local dealership and ask them about that.

On the recall it does say that but as always I'm sure they'll give u a hard time
