The leaf springs themselves are probably sitting in the dealer you brought it to for the inspection. I work at a dealer and we have tons of them just sitting around but we don't have the fit kits for them. The new bolts and plates for the install. If anyone is wondering if you qualify for new leafs look at your leafs, if there is 3 leafs and 3 or clamps then they replace them.

    none yet
I have a 2009 DCSB 4x4 and I got the recall notice about a month ago. I called Miller Toyota in Anaheim and they said, 'oh, well the parts are on back order about 2 weeks....yada, yada' so I called Toyota of Orange. Toyota of Orange said, 'sure bring it right in we'll fix it today.' So, I took it in but I have Bilstein 5100s, and a 1.5" lift block in the back, OME springs up front and after 3 hours they called me and said they can't work on it because of the aftermarket parts.

So, I am looking for a mechanic in North Orange County that can do this:

I have a 2009 Double cab, short bed 4x4 tacoma and I need to replace my rear leaf springs. I also want to level out my truck. Currently I have OME springs up front with Bilstein 5100s and 1.5" lift blocks in the back with Bilstein 5100s. The front is 1" higher than the back, I want to make it as level as possible. I got the service bulletin in the mail from Toyota saying my leaf springs could break and puncture my gas tank but Toyota won't replace them because of the lift. So, I was thinking about getting OME Dakar springs, removing the lift block and trying to get it as level as possible.

I sent this message to SpeedFreek but, he is way down in Vista. Any help on a mechanic in the North Orange County area that has experience with this issue?

    Thanks,

    Elliott
