    Hello Tacoma family...
I have a broken leaf spring, and need to replace it pronto. 2 questions:
    I have a 95 Tacoma extended cab, 4x4. Can I use the leaf springs from a 2wd
Tacoma of the same year('95) and if so is it a good idea?
And number 2, should the leaf springs always be replaced in pairs?
I have 255,000 miles on it and it runs great and should for another 50,000....
Any immediate help is appreciated as I have until tomorrow to figure it out.
    Thanks!

Ive heard 2wd (5-lug) springs have more arch than the 4x4/PreRunner (6-lug) springs, but I can't verify that. 5-luggers have spring-under, 6-lug has spring over, but they should all be the same length. So if the rumor that 5-lug springs have more arch is a fact, then you might gain a little lift out back, but I feel if that were the case, more broke ass 4x4 guys would be swapping springs with 5-lugs, and more lowered 5-lugs would want the 4x4 springs for more drop. Just make sure you grab the shackles from the donor truck as well. Also, you can only use '95-'97 Tacoma springs on your '95. The '98-'04 springs are longer than the '95-'97.

Put the new one on the driver side if you are only replacing one. The driver side always has more weight on it which causes all first gen Tacomas to lean to the driver side after awhile.
