My 2016 springs look/sit exactly the same. 40k miles and I hardly haul anything. (My d.s. support spring is also about touching and I have a full tank.) Looking around other forums it appears those sit how stock springs should.
I recently asked a couple sources I find reliable and was told torque is determined by thread pitch.
    Not a manual.
The other (Who's been hauling heavy equipment for decades) hits them with a heavy impact then torques them with a breaker bar until they go squeak.
    I put my 9/16" u bolts at 90#'s, man.
you'll fall off the wagon with 37#'s IMO.
