I don't seem to have any rake, which actually surprised me when I got them. I have a camper shell (Lear type cab high) on all of the time so it's always got a little weight, so I'm not sure how much it would change with no shell. Note my avatar photo is from before I bought the springs so it's useless for visual info.

I'll just toss my 2-cents in here and recommend the Deaver J59's. They don't have an overload spring so they're not really designed for heavy loads, but they ride very nice and are beautifully arched with 8 springs per pack. They do give a 1.5" lift, though. Recommend keeping about 50-100 lbs in the bed for the best ride.

I had standard duty General Springs on my truck for about a year and a half. Looked good at first, but within about three months and one session of hauling a wall tent and a bunch of other gear to a hunting camp they sagged worse than the original 20+ year old leafs. I do have an old Raven fiberglass shell, but it isn’t that crazy heavy. I installed ride rites to help with the sag for a bit, but those were a band-aid and I didn’t love them for that purpose. Had to keep about 30psi on the driver’s side and the minimum 5psi on the passenger to just level the truck out. Made for a rough ride using air to offset crappy leaf springs.

I recently upgraded to some Dayton HD springs and removed the ride rites for a bit to see how the springs settle. Only have about 1000 miles on the new springs without the ride rites, but I’m happy with the purchase so far. They’re keeping the truck at a pretty standard rake and very minimal on the lean as well. I’m actually driving cross country at the moment and have a bunch of junk in the back along with the shell, and no sag of yet. We’ll see how they look once I’ve been back in the Rockies tearing around on Forest Service roads for a bit.

All kinds 3 inch body lift/2 1/2 suspension lift. 31/11 1/2/15 tires All work done by myself for years. The only work performed by mechanic was fuel pumps. I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
If I bought those SD springs I would be a little upset. They are almost as flat as the rusted out ones. Why bother ??
