The adhesive I bought holds them in place but will easily move back and forth when I tested them with my hands. I guess I'll just let the compression hold them in place as you say they well.

My buddy told me he can come by on Monday to help me with this install. I really don't need his help for this but it will be fun to have him there.
Then Monday they will be all yours!!!!!!

OK, checked the one pad I glued on with the weather strip adhesive this morning and they are on solid. I guess it just needed a lot more cure time than I first thought. found 2 C clamps and a vise grip so I have 3 more glued on and setting up. Can't wait!!!!!

Cant wait to see the picks of the finished product Terry! I love my custom built leafs from OMD(Old Man Doug) I have had no complaints what so ever. They perform so much better than the stock leaf pack!:D

Ya I'm excited to see what these puppies look like! I had a 97 dakota and the springs were stout! I loaded an ATV in the bed and it hardly squatted, I wont put an ATV in the bed of my Tacoma because of the weak springs.

So is Monday your target date still ?? Looking forward to your results Terry !! ;)

I did an AAL on a SoCal members 2nd gen today, its pretty sad when you can use your hand to compress leaf springs, so damned weak, anyway hit me up if you install Monday & run into any issues bro....

Yep, still on for Monday. I think my buddy isn't going to be able to help though.
I just changed positions at work and to make a long story short I'm pooped when I get home. But too damn excited about this mod. when things get tough I pause and think about my leaf spring mod and it calms me down.....am I the only one that thinks like that? LOL

OK, found my camera and took 2 pictures of my set-up. Notice how much better the leafs look now that they are cut and painted! Also included 2 more pictures. One of my current leaf set-up with 1.5" fabtech long leaf with my new Monomax shocks. The last is my truck the way it sits now.

I was hoping to leave the OL in but with the addition of 2 new leafs I don't think there would be enough threads left on my U bolts. I know you said that your Ranger leafs allowed enough threads but I am adding 3/4" minus the AAL that's there now. It would be close. I'll try it anyway and if it doesn't work then screw it I'll control alt delete them!
I think this will only take me 3 to 4 hours from start to finish if my buddy doesn't make it.

Yeah, that sounds about right time wise, Our over loads are about an inch thick also, I was able to use my U bolts with the extra leafs & over load but your springs are a little thicker, so yeah you'll have to wait & see

I guess we are all going to have to wait a couple of more days! Just as I got ready to run to Lowes to get some blocks to sit my truck on to do the work I get a call from my manager saying that 2 people called in sick and she really needs my help. Well, she has always been nice to me so I told her I would work. Plus mo money mo money!
Anyhow, Wednesday is my next day off but I love cycling and the tour of California is running through Livermore that day and Livermore is only 2 miles away so I'm going to go and watch.
So maybe Wednesday night or Thursday I can do it? UGH!
