I recently broke one of the leaf springs on my truck. The truck is a 2010. It's all stock with 57,000 miles. Has anyone else had issues with their stock leaf springs? The dealer said that the leaf springs are on back-order nationwide. I'm wondering if this is an indication of a widespread problem.

I have 90,000 miles and have broken 2 leaf springs. Minimal offloading and I'm not hauling much weight at all. Definitely seems to be an issue. I've driven trucks my whole life and have never busted a leaf spring ever until now.

The factory rear leafs are the weakest part of the truck in my opinion. They aren't stout enough to carry anything over the weight of the bed IMO.

I have broke 4 in the past 6 months. Min off roading but I have heard about driving around with an empty load is worst for the leafs.. You will be able to go to a spring shop and they will replace a leaf at a time for you.
