I was donated a set of leaf springs some time ago that have now become needed. I notice that all the parts places designate left and right on them. I've looked at the 2 that I have and they look identical. My questions are: how do you determine which is which, and does it make a difference left or right?

    These are for a 2001.

If there is one with more arch then put that on drivers side to compensate for driver/gas tank weight.

    Care to post a picture?

Most leaf packs, as mentioned, will have more arch on the drivers side.

BTW, OEM or OEM-equivalent springs will consist of three springs + a fourth overload spring (which is inverted).

Deavers, and some other aftermarket springs may not have the overload, and they may also be arched the same (the J59s for example).
