leaf springs

I have a 2012 SR5 4 cyl. it has 3 leafs in the spring 2 fastened and one floater.... All other tacomas I look at have 3 fastened and one floater, have I missed a recall or is this normal? Really whimpy with a load on...

Turns out the 4 cyl have 2 leafs and a floater and 6 cyls have 3 leafs and a floater....

 

I just had the leaf springs changed, Thursday of last week, on my 2008 Tacoma (6 cyl.) due to recall notice that I received.
I just re-read the notice and it states years 2005-2011 only. Nothing about 6 or 4 cylinder engines?

Did you receive a recall notice for your year Tacoma?....Don't remember?

I strongly suggest then that you check the Tacoma Recall notice website for a definite answer for your year Tacoma?
