Okay guys i need some help, i need to get some new leaf springs for my 03 prerunner double cab v6, and was wondering how durable the dorman 90277 from rockauto.com were, i keep hearing mixed reveiws about the wheelers leaf packs and i just want to maintain a stock ride hight or no more than 1.5 inches of lift. My stock springs have a negative arch with bad axle wrap at 127,xxx. I just want something that will last a long time and i wont have to replace after 20,xxx miles

Supercharged, AEM FIC/6, Meth Inj, ION Alloy's, Radio & Phone steering Wheel controls,Fabtech AAL, Billie's wrapped with 880's , Tundra big brake conversion, bully bars and Pioneer DDin Stereo/dvd with exterrnal usb ports. 290K and going strong.
I would shy away from dorman's . No personal experience but from what I've read . I'm running an AAL and ride sucks. Dakar's or OME seems to be the preferred springs.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
I have installed a couple of the 3 leaf Wheelers Packs and have nothing negative at all the say about them. Hit YotaDan up. He will take care of you. That said I have Dakars but they all have issues. Dakars squeak and rust like a MF. Plus that would probably give you way more lift than you want without removing half the pack.

OME is pretty good, reasonably priced.

Thanks for the advice guys, im thinking about just saying screw it and getting the whole OME lift from wheelers, would i need to shim my axle or do a carrier bearing drop with those 2.5 lift springs?

I do speak from experience. Do not waste your time and money on the dormans. Junk.

Possibly, you can just use the stock bolts for the carrier bearing drop and shim it with a thick washer or two, but I would try it first and go from there.

As for dropping the carrier bearing, the bracket sold by streetacos.com fixed my vibrations. Got my propeller shafts to within 2 degrees!

And it's on sale right now.
