Ok, I did some more research.
    Tacoma rear leaf springs
    measure A (center forward)
    2004: 24-1/8”
    2014: 27-11/16”
    Measure B (center rear)
    2004: 31-1/8”
    2014: 27-11/16”

    Both measure 2-3/8 wide
    2004 pack thickness 1-5/8”
    2014 pack thickness 1-7/8”

2014 Tacoma’s rear leaf packs are devised equally where they rest in the axle.
2004 have more spring behind the axle.
Mind you I haven’t referenced the body style but I think 2014 didn’t have extra cabs. Either way seems like way too much effort and way easier to just get something actually made for the specific model year. Cheers

Why? Only reason to do that is if you have a free set laying around. There's no reason to go out and buy a leaf pack for a different truck unless you expect to do some custom fabrication.

As you've found out, they they are not a direct fit, which makes sense because they are designed for a completely different truck (even though it has the same name).

Years ago, my brother made a "custom" leaf pack for his 1st gen 4Runner using some leafs from a 2wd Nissan pickup, but the entire rear suspension was custom made, too.

Purely informational I guess. There isn’t any write ups about it but the amounts of “take off” rear leaf springs raises the question. No one ever says why just that it not easy to do. I get the short answer. This one is just expanded on.

Is Deaver still around? I purchased their leaf springs 14 years ago when I did a 3" lift.
