    Hello Tacoma World,

Long time reader, first time poster.

Working on leaf spring replacement and think I screwed up.

Ordered/received Dayton 90-203's. Unfortunately, it appears that these are for the left side and the 90-201's are for the right.

Can I use the 203's for the right side as well, without damaging anything?

The only difference I can find is the arc......5-5/8" on the 201 and 6/3/4" on the 203. 1-1/8" difference seems pretty significant to me.

Cost to return one is gonna hurt.

    Appreciate any info/advice.

    Shane

I am not familiar at all with Dayton leaf springs, but know that several companies mark "left" and "right" to compensate for the weight difference between the driver side and passenger side.

If I were you, I'd contact the manufacturer which really is your simplest option, or maybe I just gave you the answer and it's the reason why Dayton does this as well.

Make sure the military wrap is oriented to the front btw.

Thank you for the quick response!

Weight difference does make sense, but I'll contact Dayton as well.

    Understood on orientation.

    Thanks again.

    Thnx!

Not a full time WNC'r just yet, but I will be eventually.

We've been spending time in the Bryson area for 20+ years, it's where we plan to go when we drop out. Crazy how many Flor"idiots" are already there.

Sucks living in Florida when you really wanna be in the mountains!

    Update-

Spoke to Dayton tech dept. Rep said they will bolt up, however, the truck won't be level. Left is made to compensate for the taco's fuel tank being on the drivers side, which echos Kwikvettes's response....Thnx again!.

I contacted R**k Auto. They verified that their website is incorrect in showing that the 90203 will fit the "rear" on a 99 Prerunner and is not side specific, like it is for 4WD. They've agreed to return and pay for shipping. Problem is I'll be out another $200 until they receive the leaf in their warehouse.....Not real happy about that.

Can anyone recommend another source for stock replacement leafs?

    Appreciate the links!

Seems a lot of places use the same part #'s....

Guess they're like batteries in that there's only a few manufacturers.
