Been reading about the 3 leaf vs 4 leaf pack TSB's. Checked my springs and they 3 leaf packs, numbered as RPN 3018 48210 04370 and RPN 3018 48220 04160. This would seem to exclude them from being replaced. I just installed a hitch and am now concerned about hauling a trailer with these tiny springs. They certainly don't look like truck springs. I also have a sticker with the stated reduced load of 290 pounds. My dealer said since there was no TSB for the 09 he wouldn't do anything. Will be calling Toyota next week. Does anyone know about the above leaf spring numbers? Just looking at the 4 leaf paks I can see the difference. My 09 is a reg cab 4 banger. I'd definitely rather have the 4 leaf just to be safe than have a problem on the road. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just wait and see how it goes. I was trying to solve any possible future problems while the warranty was still in effect. I did haul alot of fencing material this past spring and it seemed ok, but i did take it real slow. I tend to baby my baby.:) Guess I'm concerned about when I start towing. Just installed the hitch, but haven't got the trailer yet. Been trying to walk the line between getting a good working truck and good fuel economy.

I brought my 2009 4x4 double cab TRD sport in for leaf tsb and shift tsb and they told me neither were applicable to me!? By the way my truck still shifts funny under 20mph. Seems to go out of gear and then shift hard.
